William E. Gerardi, MD, is the President of The Phillips Road Group, Inc., a boutique consultancy providing strategic advisory services to clients in health services, life sciences and financial services, with an emphasis on clinical programs, IT and business strategies.
Dr. Gerardi has served as the Chief Medical Officer for a number of health plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, Aetna Better Health of Illinois, Resolution Health (an Anthem company). Prior to joining Anthem, Bill was Corporate Vice President and Executive Medical Director at Health Care Service Corporation, the parent company of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans of Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Montana.
He started his career at The Boston Consulting Group after receiving his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Gerardi received his Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Medicine degrees from Georgetown University and completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of California, San Francisco.
